Vaeda's Birth Story (better late than never)

So, I know this is almost 4 months late but hey at least I am posting it. Vaeda decided to make her appearance, after weeks of contractions, on July 12th. The labor was about 10 1/2 hours long. I was up pretty much all night timing and working my way through contractions and finally went to the hospital at around 5 a.m. or so. My friend Stephanie had met Michael and I at my house and whew! she was a life saver! She rubbed my back when I had contractions as I leaned on Michael. With a crazy drive to the hospital I was taken to triage:( I HATE triage!! and I was only dilated to 4 cm! Good Lord! I wanted it to move way faster than it was because my original plan was to not have the epidural but waiting for dilation to happen took way longer than I expected.(which was not really that long I was exhausted though). Michael was absolutely amazing and I couldn't ask for a better man to have by my side!

About, I don't know 2 hours or so after I got the epidural it was time for her to make her appearance.

Our third baby girl was born weighing 8lbs. 11oz. and was 21 inches long.

She was the perfect mix of Madilyn and Fiona.

With all three of my births I remember vividly watching the baby from the bed as they check her out. Jesse captured this perfectly for me.

The girls were so excited to meet her.

Our beautiful family of 5! Wow we have three kids! Who would have thought 12 years ago we would have had 3 daughters :)

And last but not least this is my wonderful friend Jesse who photographed Vaeda's birth. Thank you Jesse, and thank you to Stephanie for all of your support and love.
